Description STAR V MACHINERY'S Model SCG-1600 Cross V-Groover is designed for precise, single V-Groove cuts. Maximum width capacity is 60" or 1,600 mm without any length limitations. This V-Groover would be used for small to medium production of boxes, display cases, pedestals, column or post enclosures and alike. The cutter head travels over the stationary material, which makes this machine most suitable for very delicate surfaces. Even angled cuts for a pyramid shaped pedestal can be accomplished. Material hold down is being accomplished via pneumatic hold down bars. Designed to work all kinds of material such as solid surface, wood, laminated or veneered MDF or particleboard and other man made materials. Targeted industries are the display & fixture, and architectural millwork industry as well as the speaker, air purifier and drawer box manufacturer industry. STAR V MACHINERY'S Model SCG-1600 Cross V-Groover Spindle with 7.5 HP-3,600 RPM motor, 60" (1,600 mm) max. cross cut capacity unlimited length capacity; heavy duty, precision machined overhead beam of 6" x 8" x ½" thick, heat-treated steel, automatic head traverse of cutter carriage through driven ball screw with linear rail & bearings via hydraulic unit, head up & down movement via pneumatic cylinder on linear rail & bearings, depth fine adjustment with special threaded adjustable unit, material hold down via (2) independent pneumatic hold down bars General Specifications: 30 mm spindle x 3" clamping length with 8mm single keyway, 9-1/2" max. diameter cutter head, ¼" to 1-1/8" material thickness, cross carriage is powered by a 3 HP hydraulic power unit (4 GPM) for variable feed rate from 0 - 40 FPM.
